April!
To Weott/Humbolt Redwoods State Park
36 mile, 3:30
The ride started somewhat hill and with even more cows. Lots and lots of cows. To us, they are downright adorable. I could watch how they stop eating and stare at us all day- but the dog is causing some issues with just being generally annoying with her whining. The towns we went though were so small/rural...they dont feel like California, much more like W. Va. I hear the nickname for Rio Dell is "Real Dull"... Oh well, because not long after all the cows we got back onto 101 for a bit, then exited onto the much awaited Avenue of the Giants- 30 some miles of a two lane road winding through old growth red woods. California has lots of big trees if you didn't know...
We stayed at another hiker/biker site- the CA ones are cheaper than OR by the way, just 3 bucks per person...but the showers aren't free.
San Francisco- 239 more miles!

Hello there!! We are still loving your blog. We check back daily to see if there are new blogs and pictures! I was just reading something on yahoo news that I thought you would find interesting. It's about a dog just like Surly that survived on an island after falling overboard a boat. Pretty cool story! Hopefully, the link will work for ya. ~~Tammi~~
