It was snowing again in the morning- fun! After about an inch, it started to get sunny-slowly- by about 10 the temp had gotten above freezing so it all started to melt- and we could make out way down the road.

There was a lot of snow/slush on the shoulders, but hey, at least it was melting. It only took 20 minutes for Cook to get yet another flat. Surprisingly- in a totally different spot and we couldn't find what caused it. An old guy in a pickup pulled over to see if we were ok-he asked why we don't use balloon tires anymore (like the big cruiser tires) heh-and he had a really nice looking cattle dog in the car with him.

Side note- so on the west coast, barely anyone knows that Surly is an Australian Cattle Dog. People mostly think she is an Aussie or Australian Shepherd- or just a Shepherd (Aussies are very different dogs though!) BUT out here everyone knows that shes a Cattle Dog, and knows about how weird they can be.

Right after fixing the flat- it started to snow...but after that cleared up the day was pretty nice. Fairly flatthe whole way and partly sunny. I think we saw more horses than people, and twice as many cows. Pretty easy day overall, which we ended at a Motel 6 with some delicious pizza...With the nighttime low in the 20s and rain/hail starting again-camping sounds too miserable.

Not much of an action photo- Cook's bike resting on the empty trailer while we change the rear flat.
